If you're going to be anywhere near downtown Denver, Colorado this weekend, you are invited to a great party this Saturday, July 12th between 11:00am and 3:00pm on 10th Avenue between Inca and Galapago Streets.  Best of all it's FREE!  

The MaxFund, a local Denver no kill shelter, has teamed up with Purina and lots of entertainers and vendors to celebrate the opening of its Wellness Center.  MaxFund has been chosen as one of three shelters around the country to receive the funds necessary for the makeover of their Wellness Center thanks to a generous grant from Purina Cat Chow and its "Building Better Lives" campaign. There will be live bands, food and wonderful venors including your truly, LeashLocket.  We'll have our Large, Small and Pocket leashes for sale along with free bandanas with any purchase.  A portion of our sales proceeds from all block party sales will do directly to the MaxFund.

Lots of fun activities are planned throughout the day, including live music by Gearheart and lots of fun activities for humans and canines of all ages.  The Purina Cat Chow folks will be handing out goodie bags. The MaxFund adoption van will be there featuring cats and dogs available for adoption, too!

You will also be able to find some tasty food and libations You will have plenty to choose from at Tinker's Evolution,  Corner of Gourmet and Jagged Mountain Brewery

Free parking is available along 9th & Elati (enter via 11th Ave. off of Speer Blvd.). You'll have exclusive access to the parking spots there; just let the parking attendant know you're going to the block party. Limited paid parking is also available at a pay lot at 10th & Inca.
