On Sunday nearly the entire LeashLocket team will be headed for Orlando and the Global Pet Expo, and they’re telling us that this year’s convention will be the largest Global Pet Expo ever!
"We are thrilled at the consistent and impressive growth Global Pet Expo has enjoyed over the years. With more exhibitors and booths than ever, and an expectation for high attendance numbers, 2012 is shaping up to be our largest Show to date on many fronts," says Andrew Darmohraj, senior vice president of the American Pet Products Association (APPA), which hosts the Expo. "As the pet industry continues to expand, Global Pet Expo offers buyers the opportunity to see more new product launches than any other industry show. Global Pet Expo is the must-attend pet industry show of the year."
So LeashLocket will be rubbing shoulders for the first time with 890 pet product exhibitors and 2,452 booths during the three-day event, which takes place February 29 - March 2, 2012 at the Orange County Convention Center. For more information on what’s there, take a look at the APPA’s press release at https://globalpetexpo.org/press/pressrelease_detail.asp?id=104
For LeashLocket, the Global Pet Expo represents a chance to meet with buyers and distributors from around the world. We’re already starting to have great success with our distributors in the UK and China, whom we met at the 2011 SuperZoo and H.H. Backer shows in the fall. Now it’s time to let the rest of the world know about LeashLocket!
If you’ve only just become aware of LeashLocket, it’s not so surprising. We’ve only been on the market since September of last year, and, in that time, have proven to be the strongest retractable dog leash, ounce for ounce, on the market. Colorado inventor Dave Marshall came up with the idea for LeashLocket while on a camping trip to Glenwood Springs over the 4th of July, 2009. He then spent two years perfecting LeashLocket’s design with a team of 10 engineers and leading pet product experts. Dave and his wife Val, LeashLocket’s president and marketing director, took delivery of their first shipment of leashes in July of 2011.
That first shipment meant LeashLocket could debut at SuperZoo in Las Vegas last September, and since then we’ve been working to build relationships with retailers throughout the US and Canada. You can find the retailer nearest you at the store locator feature at the top of each page here on our website.
The Global Pet Expo also gives us a chance to meet members of the media in pet journalism throughout the world, letting them know about the first retractable leash in a locket that lets your dog carry the leash for a change. If you know any members of the media who might like to review a complimentary LeashLocket, we’ll be happy to send them one. Just write to Margaret Rankin at email@example.com, and she’ll set it up.
We look forward to seeing our fellow pet product manufacturers, buyers and distributors at this year’s Global Pet Expo. Hey, it’s Florida in the springtime, not bad! A bunch of the LeashLocket kids are coming too, to hang out at the pool while we’re working and for a group trip to Disneyworld – can’t wait!
If, however, you won’t be attending Global this year yourselves and would like more information of any kind on LeashLocket, just let us know at info@Leashlocket.com. We’re happy to help!
