"We got our LeashLocket right before Labor Day weekend. Man am I glad it came! We used it all weekend!! It came in so handy. I was concerned it might weigh too much, but it was SUPER light! ... I think I know what's for Christmas for all my dog lovin' friends!!!! You have a winner here!!!!! "
"It’s cool how we can attach the LeashLocket to the dogs collars (or harnesses in our case)..."
Keep the Tail Wagging
"I am generally not a fan of extendable dog leads..., as handlers have inadequate control over their dogs’ movements when the leash is extended beyond a few feet. My opinion is circumstantially changing after being introduced to the LeashLocket..."

"Rock your world. That’s what the LeashLocket will do for you."
"These leashes are awesome. We can recommend them to anyone looking for a simple, retractable leash for their dogs. It’s convenient. It’s comfortable for both the dog and the human. It’s one of the handiest products to have in your pet tool arsenal."
"Do you use a retractable leash with your dog? When you take your dog to an off-leash situation, you know that means you’ll be carrying the leash around…unless you have a LeashLocket. This retractable leash comes with a special magnetic snap so your dog carries his leash while he’s off leash!"
"...my friend used it on her dog for several weeks then reported back to me on her experience. What she liked best about LeashLocket was being able to get out of the house when she was rushing with her kids; she didn’t have to find the dog’s leash, nor did she have to hold onto it and steer both her kids and dog through the tight doorway. Her dog could walk out on his own, then she could grab the leash when it was easier. She also found it quite convenient at the playground — she could let her dog run nearby while the kids played, the leash neatly contained in his collar and easy to access when she needed to."
"The Leash Locket is a great tool for those that enjoy hiking with their dogs. It allows my dog the freedom to explore the trails while my hands are free. It is comforting to know that his leash is at the ready should I need it right away- no scrambling to re-attach a leash to his collar. And even though he’s just a little guy at 15 pounds, he comfortably wears the lightweight locket.
"I used this while away from home with my dog recently and took a traditional leash with me for backup. I never strayed from the LeashLocket. Double bonus: It weighs under 3 ounces and is nicely priced."
FIDO Friendly Magazine
"The LeashLocket is a simple leash that is easy to put on, secure to use, has a break button to stop the leash at any length and best of all, is designed so your dog can carry it so you don’t have to hold it or worry about where to put the leash."
"...great for the dog park because you wouldn’t have a battle of wills with your pup about getting the leash on when it’s time to go because the leash is already on..."
Oh My Dog Blog
"The LeashLocket was really easy to use. It took me about two seconds to figure it out. You hook it onto your dog’s collar using these snaps/magnets, so your dog can carry it’s leash if you want to be hands-free!"

"I was introduced to what I consider “a must have” for every pet lover or guardian. It is called the" LeashLocket”. It is an innovative product that helps pets and their guardians in times of need. Inexpensive and simple to use, just attach it to the dogs collar or harness and your armed for action."
LA Pet Care Examiner
"The leash itself is a great design. Esthetically pleasing, it feels comfortable, and gives a confident grip in your hand. The re-coil was consistent and the locking mechanism held strong. When clipped to the magnet on the collar, it held the leash through everything my dog could put it through. Lots of trips in and out of the water, through numerous roll arounds, and an hour of running around on the trails."

"We love the LeashLocket! It is so convenient to have Roxy carry her own leash. We could tell right away that she loved wearing her new very stylish “pink bling” and it matches nicely with her leopard print collar. Roxy’s best friends live next door and we especially love that they can take her for a walk anytime without having to find where we left her leash. The LeashLocket really comes in handy when taking walks in the park since we can allow her the freedom to run loose and then utilize her leash quickly when needed. We love this product and highly recommend it to all dog owners."

"One quick push of the LOCK/UNLOCK button...and VOILA...the leash appears right like it should! You can make the leash LONG (up to 6 feet) or SHORT....however you want it to be for comfort sake. AND...drum roll here....even though it is light in weight....it IS sturdy. Why it handled my 73 muscly-muscle pounds just fine! FURTASTIC!"

"As a certified dog trainer, I typically will not use a retractable leash because I think they are dangerous. Most retractable leashes allow too long of a lead (means less control of the dog) and use a cord material (which causes rope burns if wrapped around someone's leg/arm). The Leash Locket is unlike most other retractable leashes on the market because it keeps the length of the lead to a safe, controllable length AND it uses a wide nylon-type material for the lead instead of the usual cord. Both of these features address the inherent weaknesses of other retractable leashes. In addition, the Leash Locket has features other retractable leashes don't even have--the small, ergonamic leash hand-grip and the ability for the dog to wear the entire rolled up leash on its collar at times when the dog is on the go with its owner. These attributes make it stand out amongst other products on the market."
Erin Fenstermaker - Certified Dog Trainer
"I have found that I can run while the locket is on my collar. It does not get in the way or anything. This is a great product for those of us who can go leash free but when it is time to wear the leash, we are already wearing it. Another thing that I really liked is when we were the only ones on the sidewalk, mom could allow the leash to be at full length, but when we would come upon people she could make it shorter so I was closer to her. You can’t do that with a regular leash! She could do it easily because it has a brake button. She would push up on the button to lock the leash and then push it down for me to be able to have more lead. I really like the push down part because I got to go a little further away.
My mom has MS and isn’t the most coordinated person in the world, but with the Leash-Locket we found that she had full control with one hand and did it easily. It can be easily controlled with the left or the right hand. I also want to add that I am terrified of retractable leashes. I have had some very bad experiences with them and even seeing one sends me into a fright. The Leash-Locket is not your ordinary retractable leash. I had no problems while I was using this product. I didn’t even know it was a retractable leash! Poodles are really smart but I have to say this time my mom out smarted me!"
"What's special about the LeashLocket is its unique collar attachment feature. This is what won me over...This can be removed and placed around any width dog collar. It has a heavy-duty snap that attaches to the collar and a magnetic snap that connects to the LeashLocket, holding it securely on your dog's collar until you need it again. It removes quickly and easily to allow you to give up that headache of carrying your dog's leash while he plays, or locating a place to store it safely. "

"The LeashLocket is so lightweight and so easy to use. This would be a great gift for someone with a new fury addition to their family or for someone who needs a subtle hint that they should be more aware of their dog!"
Ellen Ross - Ask Away...
"LeashLocket is perfect for my lifestyle - I have two active dogs and one small toddler. What's great about this product is I no longer worry about carrying the leash, no matter where we go...Now, I let the dogs carry their own leash and when it’s time to walk them, take them out of the dog park, remove them from the car or head into the vet’s office, I just grab the locket...It simplifies EVERYTHING! I love this product!"

"...Here is the fun part. When you want your dog to carry the leash just attach the magnet on the back of the leash to the magnetic collar attachment. Make sure you hear a click to assure it's attach correctly. Then enjoy your time playing at the park or wherever without the worry of who holds the leash or were to put it."
Woman of Many Roles
"LeashLocket is simply lightweight and your pooch doesn’t even know that it is there. Jake still was able to run around and play! When he would get a little out of control (due to those lovely puppy behaviors he still has) all I had to do was take the leash from the magnetic holder and I had him under control again! Super awesome!"

"Leash Locket is also good for training sessions when you're switching between on- and off-lead work. It's nice to be able to move easily between the two without constantly snapping a leash on and off the dog."
"Here's why I liked it: The leash snapped on to Luna's collar so that when she wanted to run all I had to do was snap it to her. Then, when I was ready to take her home, all I had to do was unsnap the LeashLocket and pull it away from her, towards me. Everything fits nicely in the palm of my hand, so I don't have this big clunky bar against my knuckles and have the freedom to move around in any direction. This would make a great resident gift!"

"While sipping a cup of coffee in the press room at the Superzoo pet product trade show, a bubbly, confident woman approached with a request: "Would you like to review my product?" She handed me a retractable lead. I looked at her and thought, "You just picked the wrong person; I HATE these things." ...But, I opened the Leash Locket and -- incredibly -- I fell in LOVE. It is tiny and fits into the palm of your hand and extends to only 6 feet. The unique feature is the magnetic clip that snaps to your dog's collar and the leash attaches to when you want to have free hands or let your dog run. The Leash Locket comes in two sizes and is suitable for dogs to 90 pounds. It's available in four colors: black, red, blue, and pink. Mechanically, the leash locket seems to be a quality product, though I didn't thoroughly test its durability.
When my friend Susan saw it, she was unimpressed. "Yuck. I'd rather use your nice, thick leads." Without reservation, I defended the Leash Locket; it's convenient -- you can transition from walking down the hall (leash in hand), going potty outdoors (leash clipped on collar), biking (leash in hand), chasing squirrels in the park (leash clipped on collar), and back to the condo (leash in hand). Although my dogs remain perfectly still when I attach their collars and leashes, continually detaching and reattaching the leash is tedious because the hardware is small. The Leash Locket eliminates the need to deal with it and is a godsend for those with limited dexterity or seniors."
Amy Ammen - Dog Trainer
"Walking with the LeashLocket was easy and going in and out of the dog park was even easier. My dogs get so excited when we go into the park that getting their leashes unclipped while they squirm and bark is not easy. It's a simple and effective way to gain control of your dog, be it in a dog park or if you have a dog who is an escape artist. Although my dogs are no longer puppies it did present another use and that was potty training. I bet you can't even count the amount of times that you clipped and unclipped your puppy to go outside to potty train."
Vegas Rock Dog
"...ideal to use in the agility and obedience training rings. Many handlers use a short tab that is attached to their dog’s collar but with a big coat like mine, a tab can get lost in my mass of fur. The LeashLocket will be much easier to locate."

…two paws up!
"Here are a few of the things that first attracted me to this leash:
- The retractable area of the leash is in a much smaller casing than usual, so it’s comfortable for me to hold.
- No awkward plastic handle; with the LeashLocket, you hold the casing in your hand and have a wrist strap in case you lose hold.
- The leash, which is small and lightweight, snaps on to your pet’s collar so they carry the leash until you’re ready to use it at the park, in the car, and beyond..."

"Look how easy it is to use the Leash Locket! Simply attach the locket to the dog’s collar and voila, you have a nice leash that allows you control of your dog and quick access to a leash. The thing that I appreciate the most is that it is lightweight and a compact size- so it doesn’t look huge on your dog!"

"If you ask me, I will unhesitatingly recommend LeashLocket, a cool dog leash that your dog would love to carry. Your hands are free when not holding the leash. My seven year old beloved Shiba Inu, her name’s Sienna, has taken wonderfully to this leash. I keep getting asked questions about this nifty dog leash when I take Sienna out for a walk and this has prompted me to write this article."

"My LeashLocket (from BarkWorld) has worked well on my 73 pound chow/golden mix. I have had him on it when we have gone to the dog park. Teddy is not good with small, unsupervised kids so when some of them come into the dog park, I have his leash right there with him now thanks to LeashLocket. It's made things easier for me and helped keep my beloved dog safe."
Jan Granai via Facebook
"With a retractable leash, dogs sometimes have a dangerous amount of room to run, which can be a disaster on a busy road, or somewhere that you would need control. With the LeashLocket, the lead doesn’t allow enough space for your dog to get into trouble, but it gives them enough room to enjoy, making it safer for them and easier for you."

"I definitely give this product four paws up not only because the idea is so simple and yet one of the smartest things I have ever seen, but because anything to keep my dog (AKA my best friend) safe is a winner in my book!"
"Overall LeashLocket is great for travel and quick walks. It is small enough to let your dog carry or keep in your purse or pocket. Out of all the retractable leashes I have tried, LeashLocket is definitely one of the best. It has been super convenient, so if you and your dog travel a lot or take frequent walks, Luna and I definitely recommend the LeashLocket!"

"This would be great at the dog park for when you need to snatch your dog away quickly. Since Dash is a humper, I’m often having to snatch him up and take him away from the poor victim dog. I think this would also be great for hiking in the woods."

"I love the leash lockets and so has everyone I have shown it to! It's great that it is small, easy to handle, and it's a flat belt NOT a cord!

"Ma says the LeashLocket is comfortable to hold and the brake button on the side for stopping the lead is long and easy to push down. It won’t hurt your thumb or cramp your hand like the more common flexi types do. The lead can be held in place with just a finger. Also the button is rubberized, so it’s soft, not a hard piece of plastic. Ma also imagines the LeashLocket would look great on a harness or back pack set up where the dog carries bags and water."
"LeashLocket...gets four paws up! It is very durable, only weighs about 2.5 ounces and it extends to nearly 6 feet."
We give the Leash Locket a 3 1/2 out of 4 paws. It's light, its durable, and the best part is that when you purchase a Leash Locket, a portion of the proceeds goes to help abused animals. High Paw!

"When I put it on Dutchy – the Siberan Husky – it worked great. The weight didn’t bother him – and he’s a dog park addict, so I could see this being used a lot with him."
"The Leash Locket worked well with a 40-lb. Cocker Spaniel...who lives in New York City. The small size, retractable leash and wrist strap made it very convenient for a well-behaved dog in city crowds."

"I loved the magnetic hold, it made it so easy to grab the holder when you needed it. There wasn't any need to do anything complicated and there's no need to go looking for your leash either. When I took the babies to the dog park, I just let the JR carry her locket around. I didn't have to worry about losing anything."
